This European Standard specifies the technical and functional properties of automatic recording equipment used to determine randomly appearing shocks during transportation.
Such automatic recording equipment can be used to:
— determine mechanical shock loads on individual transportations;
— monitor the transportation means to observe the limits of the shock parameters;
— determine the shock loads on the transported item.
This standard defines the sensors to be attached to the device, and specifies the minimum requirements for the parameters to be adjusted. It also defines the minimum requirements for the data analysis, as well as the data presentation.
This standard covers the complete recording equipment, including its accelerometers and the data analysis in an external data processing unit. The accelerometers can be integrated into the device or separately mounted from it (external sensors).
This standard also applies to the routine monitoring of individual transportations

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les propriétés techniques et fonctionnelles des équipements d'enregistrement automatiques utilisés pour déterminer les chocs aléatoires qui surviennent pendant le transport.
De tels équipements d'enregistrement automatiques peuvent être utilisés pour :
— déterminer les charges de chocs mécaniques exercées sur des moyens de transport isolés ;
— surveiller les moyens de transport afin d'observer les limites des paramètres de choc ;
— déterminer les charges de choc exercées sur l'article transporté.
La présente norme définit les détecteurs à relier au dispositif, et spécifie les exigences minimales relatives aux paramètres à régler. Elle définit également les exigences minimales relatives à l'analyse des données, ainsi qu'à la présentation des données.
La présente norme couvre l'équipement d'enregistrement complet, y compris ses accéléromètres et l'analyse des données dans une unité de traitement de données externe. Les accéléromètres peuvent être intégrés au dispositif ou montés séparément (détecteurs externes).
