This document specifies a laboratory method of determining the open assembly time under referenced conditions in standard climate (20 ± 2) °C and (65 ± 5) % relative humidity (hereafter climate [20/65]).
The method gives a result that cannot be applied to the safe manufacture of timber structures without taking into account the influence of factors such as timber density, moisture content, factory temperature and relative air humidity.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Laborverfahren zur Bestimmung der offenen Wartezeit unter festgelegten Bedingungen in einem Normalklima (20 ± 2) °C und (65 ± 5) % relativer Luftfeuchte [nachstehend Normalklima (20/65)] fest.
Das Verfahren führt zu einem Ergebnis, das für die sichere Herstellung von Holzbauteilen nur unter Berücksichtigung der Einflussfaktoren, wie z. B. Rohdichte/Feuchtegehalt des Holzes, Werkstemperatur und relative Luftfeuchte, zugrunde gelegt werden kann.

Le présent document spécifie une méthode de détermination en laboratoire du temps d’assemblage ouvert dans des conditions de référence sous un climat normal de (20 ± 2) °C et (65 ± 5) % d’humidité relative (ci-après climat [20/65]).
La méthode conduit à un résultat qui ne peut pas être utilisé pour une fabrication sûre des structures en bois sans tenir compte de l’influence de facteurs tels que la masse volumique du bois, sa teneur en humidité, la température de l’usine et l’humidité relative de l’air.

Introduction
This document is one of a series dealing with adhesives for use with timber structures, and is published
in support of the EN 1995 series, Eurocode 5: Design of timber structures. The series consists of five
classification and performance requirements for adhesives for load-bearing timber structures, phenolic
and aminoplastic adhesives (EN 301), one component polyurethane adhesives (EN 15425), emulsion
polymer isocyanate adhesives (EN 16254), two component epoxy and polyurethane adhesives for glued
in rods (EN 17334) and for on-site repair of cracked timber structures (EN 17418) and all together twelve
test methods (EN 302-1, EN 302-2, EN 302-3, EN 302-4, EN 302-5, EN 302-6, EN 302-7 and EN 302-8 and
EN 15416-1, EN 15416-3, EN 15416-4 and EN 15416-5).
