Technical Corrigendum 2 to International Standard ISO 10303-43:1994 was prepared by Technical Committee
ISO/TC 184, Industrial automation systems and integration, Subcommittee SC 4, Industrial data.
Introduction
This document corrects ISO 10303-43:1994, Product data representation and exchange - Integrated
generic resources: Representation structures. The corrected document supersedes ISO
10303-43:1994.
The modifications to the text of ISO 10303-43:1994 provided here apply to the document as cor-
rected by Technical Corrigendum 1. The purpose of these modifications is to correct the definition of
an entity data type added in ISO 10303-43:1994/Cor.1:1999, add a new informative Annex, and re-
place the object identifier for the document.

Modifications to the text of ISO 10303-43:1994
Clause 4.14
Parts of the definition of the founded_item entity data type as added by ISO 10303-
43:1994/Cor.1:1999 have been found to be incorrect. Delete the definition of the entity data type and
the accompanying NOTE in clause 4.14 and replace by the following:
The founded_item entity data type represents part of an element of representation. A founded_item
can be used only as part of the definition of a representation_item, and is founded through the par-
ticipation of the representation_item in a representation. Further, any instances of
representation_item that are part of a founded_item are founded through that participation. A
founded_item cannot be an item in a representation.
