IEC 60728-113:2023 is applicable to optical transmission systems for broadcast signal transmission that consist of headend equipment, optical transmission lines, in-house wirings and system outlets. These systems are primarily intended for television and sound signals using digital transmission technology. This document specifies the basic system parameters and methods of measurement for optical distribution systems between headend equipment and system outlets in order to assess the system performance and its performance limits. In this document, the upper signal frequency is limited to about 3 300 MHz. The purpose of this part of IEC 60728 is to describe the system specifications of FTTH (fibre to the home) networks for digitally modulated broadcast signal transmission. This document is also applicable to broadcast signal transmission using a telecommunication network if it satisfies the performance of the optical portion of the system defined in this document. This document describes RF transmission for fully digitalized broadcast and narrowcast (limited area distribution of broadcast) signals over FTTH, and introduces the xPON system as a physical layer media. The detailed description of the physical layer is out of scope of this document. The scope is limited to downstream RF video signal transmission over FTTH; IP transport technologies, such as IP Multicast and associate protocols, which require a two-way optical transmission system, are out of scope of this document. Some interference effects occurring between the telecommunication system and the broadcast system are addressed in Clause 7. IEC 60728-113:2023 cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2018 and IEC 60728-13-1:2017. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: a) IEC 60728-13-1, which deals with the bandwidth expansion for broadcast signal over FTTH systems, has been merged with this document; b) a table containing the digital signal level at the system outlet has been added.

L'IEC 60728-113:2023 s'applique aux systèmes de transmission optique pour la transmission de signaux de radiodiffusion, qui se composent de l'équipement de la tête de réseau, des lignes de transmission optique, des câblages internes et des prises d'abonnés. Ces systèmes sont essentiellement destinés aux signaux de télévision et aux signaux de radiodiffusion sonore qui utilisent une technologie de transmission numérique. Le présent document spécifie les paramètres de base du système et les méthodes de mesurage des systèmes de distribution optique entre l'équipement de la tête de réseau et les prises d'abonnés, afin d'évaluer les performances du système et ses limites de performances. Dans le présent document, la fréquence supérieure du signal est limitée à 3 300 MHz environ. La présente partie de l'IEC 60728 a pour objet de décrire les spécifications des systèmes des réseaux de desserte par fibre de l'abonné (DFA) pour la transmission de signaux de radiodiffusion à modulation numérique. Le présent document décrit la transmission des signaux RF en tant que signaux de radiodiffusion générale et de radiodiffusion ciblée (distribution des signaux de radiodiffusion dans une zone limitée) entièrement numérisés sur les réseaux DFA et introduit le système xPON comme support de la couche physique. La description précise de la couche physique ne relève pas du domaine d'application du présent document. Le domaine d'application se limite à la transmission des signaux vidéo RF en aval sur les réseaux DFA; les technologies de transport par protocole Internet (IP), comme la multidiffusion IP et les protocoles associés, qui exigent un système de transmission optique bidirectionnelle, ne relèvent pas du domaine d'application du présent document. L'IEC 60728-113:2023 annule et remplace la première édition parue en 2018 et l'IEC 60728-13-1:2017. Cette édition constitue une révision technique. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente: a) l'IEC 60728-13-1, qui traite de l'extension de la largeur de bande pour les signaux de diffusion sur les systèmes DFA, a été fusionnée avec le présent document; b) un tableau qui indique le niveau du signal numérique au niveau de la prise d'abonné a été ajouté.

Standard IEC 60728-113:2023 se uporablja za optične sprejemno-oddajne sisteme za razpršeno oddajanje signalov, ki zajemajo opremo glavne sprejemne postaje, optične prenosne vode, notranje napeljave in sistemske izhode. Ti sistemi so namenjeni predvsem televizijskim in zvočnim signalom z uporabo tehnologije digitaliziranega prenosa. Ta dokument določa osnovne sistemske parametre in merilne metode za optične razdelilne sisteme med opremo glavne sprejemne postaje ter sistemskimi izhodi za namene ocenjevanja lastnosti teh sistemov in omejitev njihovega delovanja.

Ta dokument se uporablja tudi za razpršeno oddajanje signalov prek telekomunikacijskega omrežja, če izpolnjuje delovanje optičnega dela sistema, opredeljenega v tem dokumentu. Ta dokument opisuje radiofrekvenčni prenos za povsem digitalizirano razpršeno in ozko usmerjeno oddajanje (omejeno območno razdelitev) signalov prek omrežij FTTH ter uvaja sistem xPON kot medij fizične plasti. Podroben opis fizične plasti ne spada v področje uporabe tega dokumenta.
