Functional safety of electrical/electronic/programmable electronic safety-related systems - Part 2: Requirements for electrical/electronic/programmable electronic safety-related systems

IEC 61508-2:2010 applies to any safety-related system, as defined by IEC 61508-1, that contains at least:
- one electrical, electronic or programmable electronic element;
- applies to all elements within an E/E/PE safety-related system;
- specifies how to refine the E/E/PE system safety requirements specification, developed in accordance with IEC 61508-1, into the E/E/PE system design requirements specification;
- specifies the requirements for activities that are to be applied during the design and manufacture of the E/E/PE safety-related systems except software, which is dealt with in IEC 61508-3. These requirements include the application of techniques and measures that:
- are graded against the safety integrity level, for the avoidance of, and control of, faults and failures;
- specifies the information necessary for carrying out the installation, commissioning and final safety validation of the E/E/PE safety-related system;
- provides requirements for the preparation of information and procedures needed by the user for the operation and maintenance of the E/E/PE safety-related systems;
- specifies requirements to be met by the organisation carrying out any modification of the E/E/PE safety-related systems.
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 1998. This edition constitutes a technical revision. It has been subject to a thorough review and incorporates many comments received at the various revision stages. It has the status of a basic safety publication according to IEC Guide 104.

La CEI 61508-2:2010 s'applique à tout système relatif à la sécurité tel que défini dans la CEI 61508-1, qui contient au moins:
- un composant à base électrique, électronique ou électronique programmable;
- s'applique à tous les éléments d'un système E/E/PE relatif à la sécurité;
- spécifie la manière d'affiner la spécification des exigences de sécurité des systèmes E/E/PE, développée conformément à la CEI 61508-1, dans le cadre de la spécification des exigences de conception des systèmes E/E/PE;
- spécifie les exigences pour des activités qui doivent être appliquées pendant la conception et la fabrication des systèmes E/E/PE relatifs à la sécurité, à l'exception du logiciel qui est traité dans la CEI 61508-3.
Ces exigences comprennent l'application de techniques et de mesures qui sont classées en fonction du:
- niveau d'intégrité de sécurité pour éviter et maîtriser les anomalies et défaillances;
- spécifie les informations nécessaires à l'installation, à la mise en service et à la validation finale de la sécurité des systèmes E/E/PE relatifs à la sécurité;
- fournit des exigences relatives à la préparation des informations et procédures nécessaires à l'utilisateur pour l'exploitation et la maintenance des systèmes E/E/PE relatifs à la sécurité;
- spécifie les exigences auxquelles doit satisfaire l'entité qui effectue une modification des systèmes E/E/PE relatifs à la sécurité.
Cette deuxième édition annule et remplace la première édition publiée en 1998 dont elle constitue une révision technique. Elle a fait l'objet d'une révision approfondie et intègre de nombreux commentaires reçus lors des différentes phases de révision. Elle a le statut d'une publication fondamentale de sécurité conformément au Guide CEI 104.

Funkcijska varnost električnih/elektronskih/programljivih elektronskih varnostnih sistemov - 2. del: Zahteve za električne/elektronske/programljive elektronske varnostne sisteme (IEC 61508-2:2010)

1.1 Ta del serije IEC 61508
a) je namenjen uporabi šele po temeljitem razumevanju IEC 61508-1, ki zagotavlja celovit okvir;
b) velja za vse varnostne sisteme, kot jih opredeljuje IEC 61508-1, ki vsebujejo vsaj en električni, elektronski ali programirljiv elektronski element;
d) velja za vse elemente v varnostnem sistemu E/E/PE (vključno s senzorji, aktuatorji in uporabniškim vmesnikom);
d) določa, kako izboljšati specifikacijo za varnostne zahteve sistema E/E/PE, razvito v skladu z IEC 61508-1 (vključno s specifikacijo za zahteve varnostnih funkcij sistema E/E/PE in specifikacijo za zahteve varnostne celovitosti sistema E/E/PE), v okviru specifikacije za zahteve projektiranja sistema E/E/PE;e) določa zahteve za aktivnosti, potrebne med projektiranjem in proizvodnjo varnostnih sistemov E/E/PE (tj. vzpostavlja model varnostnega cikla za sistem E/E/PE), razen programske opreme, ki jo obravnava IEC 61508-3 (glej slike 2 do 4). te zahteve vključujejo uporabo tehnik in ukrepov, razvrščenih glede na stopnjo varnostne celovitosti za preprečevanje in nadzor napak in okvar;
f) določa potrebne informacije za izvedbo namestitve, začetka obratovanja in končne varnostne validacije varnostnih sistemov E/E/PE;
g) ne velja za obratovalno in vzdrževalno fazo varnostnih sistemov E/E/PE – to obravnava IEC 61508-1 – vendar pa IEC 61508-2 zagotavlja zahteve za pripravo informacij in postopkov, ki jih potrebuje uporabnik za obratovanje in vzdrževanje varnostnih sistemov E/E/PE;
h) določa zahteve, ki jih mora izpolnjevati organizacija, ki kakor koli spreminja varnostne sisteme E/E/PE;
OPOMBA 1: Ta del IEC 61508 je v glavnem namenjen dobaviteljem in/ali notranjim inženirskim oddelkom, zato so vključene zahteve za spreminjanje.
OPOMBA 2: Razmerje med IEC 61508-2 in IEC 61508-3 prikazuje slika 4.
i) ne velja za medicinsko opremo v skladu s serijo IEC 60601.
1.2 IEC 61508-1, IEC 61508-2, IEC 61508-3 in IEC 61508-4 so osnovne varnostne objave, čeprav ta status ne velja v okviru nezapletenih varnostnih sistemov E/E/PE (glej točko 3.4.3 IEC 61508-4). Kot osnovne varnostne objave so namenjeni temu, da jih uporabljajo tehnični odbori pri pripravi standardov v skladu z načeli, opredeljenimi v Vodilu IEC 104 in Vodilu ISO/IEC 51. 1.3 Ena od odgovornosti tehničnega odbora je, če je primerno, da uporabi temeljne varnostne objave pri pripravi svojih objav. V tem okviru zahteve, preskusne metode ali preskusni pogoji te temeljne varnostne objave ne veljajo, razen če se objave, ki so jih pripravili tehnični odbori, nanje izrecno sklicujejo ali jih vključujejo.

The text of document 65A/549/FDIS, future edition 2 of IEC 61508-2, prepared by SC 65A, System
aspects, of IEC TC 65, Industrial-process measurement, control and automation, was submitted to the
IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 61508-2 on 2010-05-01.
This European Standard supersedes EN 61508-2:2001.
It has the status of a basic safety publication according to IEC Guide 104.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
