Optical fibres - Part 2-50: Product specifications - Sectional specification for class B single-mode fibres

IEC 60793-2-50:2015 is applicable to optical fibre categories B1.1, B1.2, B1.3, B2, B4, B5 and B6. A map illustrating the connection of IEC designations to ITU-T designations is shown in Annex I. These fibres are used or can be incorporated in information transmission equipment and optical fibre cables. Three types of requirements apply to these fibres: - general requirements, as defined in IEC 60793-2; - specific requirements common to the class B single-mode fibres covered in this standard and which are given in Clause 5; - particular requirements applicable to individual fibre categories or specific applications, which are defined in Annexes A to G. For some fibre categories (shown in the relevant family specifications), there are sub-categories that are distinguished on the basis of difference in transmission attribute specifications. The designations for these sub-categories are documented in the individual family specifications. This fifth edition cancels and replaces the fourth edition, published in 2012. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: - aligns the requirements with the ITU-T Recommendations G.654 (2012-10) and G.657 (2012-10); - adds a new sub-category B1.2_d; - modifies B6 sub-categories in terms of attenuation and chromatic dispersion coefficient. L'IEC 60793-2-50:2015 est applicable aux fibres optiques des catégories B1.1, B1.2, B1.3, B2, B4, B5 et B6. Un tableau illustrant la correspondance des désignations IEC avec les Recommandations de l'UIT-T figure à l'Annexe I. Ces fibres sont utilisées ou peuvent être intégrées dans des équipements pour la transmission de l'information et dans des câbles à fibres optiques. Trois types d'exigences s'appliquent à ces fibres: - les exigences générales, qui sont définies dans l'IEC 60793-2; - des exigences spécifiques communes aux fibres unimodales de classe B, couvertes par la présente norme, et qui sont données dans l'Article 5; - des exigences particulières applicables à des catégories particulières de fibres ou à des applications données, qui sont définies dans les Annexes A à G. Pour certaines catégories de fibres (indiquées dans les spécifications de famille correspondantes), il existe des sous-catégories qui se distinguent les unes des autres par leurs différences de spécifications d'attributs de transmission. Les désignations pour ces sous-catégories sont documentées dans les spécifications de famille individuelles Cette cinquième édition annule et remplace la quatrième édition parue en 2012. Cette édition constitue une révision technique. Cette édition inclut les modifications techniques majeures suivantes par rapport à l'édition précédente: - alignement des exigences avec les Recommandations G.654 (2012-10) et G.657 (2012-10) de l'UIT-T; - ajout d'une nouvelle sous-catégorie B1.2_d; - modification des sous-catégories B6 en termes d'affaiblissement et de coefficient de dispersion chromatique. Ta del standarda IEC 60793 se uporablja za kategorije optičnih vlaken B1.1, B1.2, B1.3, B2, B4, B5 in B6. V dodatku I je prikaz povezav oznak IEC z oznakami ITU-T. Ta vlakna se uporabljajo ali se lahko vgradijo v opremo za prenos informacij in kable z optičnimi vlakni.
Za ta vlakna veljajo tri vrste zahtev:
– splošne zahteve, kot so opredeljene v standardu IEC 60793-2;
– posebne zahteve za enorodna vlakna razreda B, ki jih zajema ta standard in so navedene v točki 5;
– posebne zahteve, ki veljajo za posamezne kategorije vlaken ali posebne načine uporabe in so opredeljene v dodatkih A do G.
Pri nekaterih kategorijah vlaken (prikazano v ustreznih skupinskih specifikacijah) obstajajo podkategorije, ki se razlikujejo glede na razliko v specifikacijah atributa prenosa. Oznake za te podkategorije so navedene v posameznih skupinskih specifikacijah.
