The text of the International Standard IEC 60335-2-53:2002 (61/2234/FDIS), prepared by the
IEC Technical Committee 61, Safety of household and similar electrical appliances, was submitted to
the Unique Acceptance Procedure and was approved by CENELEC as EN 60335-2-53 on
2003-05-01.
