Ta standard obravnava varnost električnih toplotnih črpalk, vključno s toplotnimi črpalkami za gospodinjsko vročo vodo, klimatskimi napravami in sušilniki zraka z zaprtimi gnanimi kompresorji. Najvišja nazivna napetost ne sme presegati 250 V za enofazne naprave in 600 V za vse druge naprave. Navedene naprave so lahko sestavljene iz enega sestava ali več.
