This standard defines the test method determining the forces required when engaging or releasing the movable parts of a door set or to bring the movable part of a sliding door to a specified position defined by the personal safety devices built into the hardware as well as the forces to lock or unlock the door via a handle or a key and the force to commence opening.

Diese Norm gilt für Drehflügel- und Schiebetüren mit Fallen für die Benutzung durch Personen. Diese Norm legt die Prüfverfahren zur Ermittlung der Öffnungs-/Schließkräfte, des Ein- oder Ausklinkens sowie der Kräfte zum Ver- und Aufschließen der Beschläge durch einen Schlüssel oder Türdrücker fest. Die Norm gilt nur für die manuelle Bedienung von Türelementen. Die Messung der Schließkräfte von selbstschließenden Türelementen ist in diesem Prüfverfahren nicht enthalten. Diese Norm gilt auch nicht für Türelemente mit speziellen Beschlägen, z.B. Vorrichtungen für Notausgänge.

La présente norme concerne les blocs-portes battants/pivotants et coulissants équipés de pênes demi-tour destinés à être utilisés par des piétons. Elle définit les méthodes d'essai pour déterminer les forces d'ouverture/fermeture des portes et pour enclencher/libérer et verrouiller/déverrouiller la quincaillerie à l'aide d 'une clé ou d'une poignée. Elle n'est applicable qu'à la manoeuvre manuelle de blocs-portes. Le mesurage des forces pour les blocs-portes avec des systèmes à fermeture automatique enclenchés est exclu de la présente méthode d'essai.
