This part of this European Prestandard describes a method of test for the determination of the overall migration into aqueous based food simulants from plastics which are intended to come into contact with foodstuffs, by filling articles with aqueous food simulant for 10 days, 24 h or 2 h at 40 °C or for 2 h at 70 °C. This method is most suitable for plastics in the form of containers and articles that can be filled.

1 Anwendungsbereich
Dieser Teil dieser Europäischen Norm beschreibt Prüfverfahren für die Bestimmung der Gesamtmigration in wässrige Prüflebensmittel aus nur einer Oberfläche von Kunststoffgegenständen in Form von Behältern, die dafür vorgesehen sind, in Kontakt mit Lebensmitteln zu kommen, durch Füllen der Gegenstände mit einem ausgewählten Prüflebensmittel bei Prüftemperaturen bis einschließlich 70 °C innerhalb ausgewählter Prüfzeiten.
Dieses Verfahren eignet sich am besten für Kunststoffe in Form von Behältern und füllbaren Gegenständen.

La présente partie de cette norme européenne spécifie une méthode d'essai permettant de déterminer la migration globale dans les simulants aqueux de plastiques sous forme de récipients dont une face seulement est destinée à entrer en contact avec des denrées alimentaires, par remplissage de l'objet avec un simulant aqueux à des températures d'essai inférieures ou égales à 70 °C pendant des durées spécifiées.
Cette méthode est plus particulièrement applicable aux plastiques sous forme de récipients et d'objets pouvant être remplis.
