This European Standard specifies a test method to determine the heat resistance of wood adhesives under static load and increasing temperature conditions. The test assesses the adhesive's ability to resist sustained or continuous loading at temperatures well above normal room temperature, or in conditions where service temperatures are variable or cyclic.
NOTE The procedure described is based on a test developed in Switzerland, known as the HRT'92 test. It uses test pieces described in EN 302-1 and EN 205, a static loading device and a means for increasing test pieces temperature at a specific rate.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Wärmebeständigkeit von Holzklebstoffen bei
statischer Belastung und ansteigender Temperatur fest. Die Prüfung dient zur Beurteilung der Belastbarkeit von
Holzklebstoffen bei einer ständigen Krafteinwirkung und Temperaturen weit über der üblichen Raumtemperatur
bzw. bei wechselnden Temperaturen oder einem zyklischen Temperaturverlauf während des Gebrauchs.
ANMERKUNG Das beschriebene Verfahren geht auf eine in der Schweiz entwickelte Prüfung zurück, die als Prüfung HRT92
bekannt ist. Es werden die in EN 302-1 und EN 205 beschriebenen Prüfkörper und Einrichtungen zur Aufbringung einer stati-
schen Last sowie zur Erhöhung der Temperatur der Prüfkörper mit einer bestimmten Geschwindigkeit verwendet.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie une méthode d�essai qui permet de déterminer la résistance à la
chaleur des adhésifs pour bois soumis à une charge statique et à une augmentation de température. L'essai
évalue la capacité des adhésifs à résister à une charge permanente, à des températures largement
supérieures à la température de laboratoire normale ou dans des conditions selon lesquelles les températures
de service sont variables ou cycliques.
NOTE Le mode opératoire décrit est basé sur un essai développé en Suisse, connu sous le nom d�essai HRT�92. Il
utilise des éprouvettes conformes à la description fournie dans les normes EN 302-1 et EN 205, un dispositif de charge
statique et un moyen d'augmenter la température des éprouvettes à une vitesse spécifique.

This European Standard (EN 14292:2005) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 193
“Adhesives”, the secretariat of which is held by AENOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2005, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2005.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech

1 Scope
