This European Prestandard specifies a method for testing the resistance of domestic articles made from ceramic, glass, glass ceramic, vitreous enamel, metal and plastics under the combined chemical, thermal and mechanical stresses of mechanical dishwashing in domestic dishwashers. It specifies a reference test method for domestic dishwashing only. It does not define the number of dishwashing cycles which any given product shall withstand.

Diese Europäische Vornorm legt ein Verfahren fest für die Prüfung der Beständigkeit von Haushaltwaren aus Keramik, Glas, Glaskeramik, Email, Metall und Kunststoffen gegenüber der gleichzeitigen chemischen, thermischen und mechanischen Belastung, wie sie beim mechanischen Geschirrspülen in Haushaltgeschirrspülmaschinen gegeben ist. Es wird ein Prüfverfahren für Geschirrspülen in Haushaltmaschinen festgelegt. Die Anzahl an Spülzyklen, die ein Produkt aushalten muß, wird nicht festgelegt.

La présente prénorme européenne spécifie une méthode d'essai de la résistance mécanique des articles à usage domestique en céramique, verre, vitrocérame, émail vitrifié, métal et matière plastique, lorsqu'ils sont soumis à une combinaison de contraintes chimiques, thermiques et mécaniques dans le cadre d'un lavage au lave-vaisselle. Elle spécifie une méthode d'essai de référence portant uniquement sur le lavage en lave-vaisselle à usage domestique, mais ne définit pas le nombre de cycles de lavage auquel doit résister un produit donné.
