This document specifies a method for determining the creep deformation of bonded specimens loaded in bending shear. It is applicable to adhesives used in load bearing timber structures.
It is suitable for the following applications:
a)   for assessing the compliance of adhesives to EN 15425 and EN 16254;
b)   for assessing the suitability and quality of adhesives for load bearing timber structures.
This test is intended primarily to obtain performance data for the classification of adhesives for load bearing timber structures according to their suitability for use in defined climatic environments.
This method is not intended to provide data for structural design, and does not necessarily represent the performance of the bonded member in service.

Klebstoffe für tragende Holzbauteile ausgenommen Phenolharzklebstoffe und Aminoplaste - Prüfverfahren - Teil 3: Prüfung der Kriechverformung unter zyklischen Klimabedingungen an Prüfkörpern bei Biege-Scherbeanspruchung

Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Kriechverformung an verklebten Prüfkörpern bei Biege-Scherbeanspruchung fest. Es ist anwendbar für Klebstoffe, die für tragende Holzbauteile verwendet werden.
Das Verfahren ist für folgende Anwendungsfälle geeignet:
a)   zur Beurteilung der Übereinstimmung von Klebstoffen mit EN 15425 und EN 16254;
b)   zur Beurteilung der Eignung und Qualität von Klebstoffen für tragende Holzbauteile.
Diese Prüfung ist hauptsächlich dafür vorgesehen, Leistungsdaten für die Klassifizierung von Klebstoffen für tragende Holzbauteile entsprechend ihrer Eignung zur Verwendung in festgelegten klimatischen Umgebungen zu erhalten.
Dieses Verfahren ist nicht dafür vorgesehen, Bemessungswerte bereitzustellen und gibt nicht zwangsläufig die Leistungsfähigkeit des verklebten Bauteils im Gebrauch wieder.

Adhésifs pour structures portantes en bois de type autre que phénolique et aminoplaste - Méthodes d'essais - Partie 3 : Essai de déformation par fluage dans des conditions climatiques cycliques avec des éprouvettes chargées en cisaillement par flexion

Le présent document spécifie une méthode permettant de déterminer la déformation par fluage d’éprouvettes collées chargées en cisaillement par flexion. Il s’applique aux adhésifs utilisés dans des structures portantes en bois.
Il est adapté :
a)   pour évaluer la conformité des adhésifs à l’EN 15425 et à l’EN 16254 ;
b)   pour évaluer l’aptitude à l’utilisation et la qualité des adhésifs pour les structures portantes en bois.
Cet essai est principalement destiné à recueillir des données de performance pour classer les adhésifs destinés aux structures portantes en bois en fonction de leur aptitude à l’utilisation dans des environnements climatiques définis.
Cette méthode n’est pas destinée à fournir des données pour la conception structurelle et elle ne reflète pas nécessairement la performance de l’élément collé en service.

This document will supersede EN 15416-3:2017+A1:2019.

Introduction
This document is one of a series dealing with adhesives for use with timber structures, and is published
in support of the EN 1995 series, Eurocode 5: Design of timber structures. The series consists of five
classification and performance requirements for adhesives for load-bearing timber structures, phenolic
and aminoplastic adhesives (EN 301), one component polyurethane adhesives (EN 15425), emulsion
polymer isocyanate adhesives (EN 16254), two component epoxy and polyurethane adhesives for glued
in rods (EN 17334) and for on-site repair of cracked timber structures (EN 17418) and all together twelve
test methods (EN 302-1, EN 302-2, EN 302-3, EN 302-4, EN 302-5, EN 302-6, EN 302-7 and EN 302-8 and
EN 15416-1, EN 15416-3, EN 15416-4 and EN 15416-5).
