This European Standard specifies a method for determining the liquid-water transmission rate of coatings, coating systems and related products, intended for exterior masonry and concrete. The method is applicable to coatings and coating systems on porous substrates such as brick, concrete and renderings. The method is not applicable to coatings and coating systems having a coefficient of liquid-water transmission rate w of less than 0,05 kg/(m2 . h0,5).

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zum Bestimmen der Durchlässigkeitsrate für flüssiges Wasser (Wasserdurchlässigkeitsrate) von Beschichtungen, Beschichtungssystemen und ähnlichen Produkten für mineralische Untergründe und Beton im Außenbereich fest. Das Verfahren ist anwendbar auf Beschichtungen und Beschichtungssysteme auf porösen Untergründen wie Mauerstein, Beton und Putzen. Das Verfahren ist nicht anwendbar auf Beschichtungen und Beschichtungssysteme mit einem Koeffizienten der Wasserdurchlässigkeitsrate w < 0,05 kg/(m2 . h0,5).
