This European Standard specifies the requirements and associated test methods applicable to ductile iron fittings and their joints to be used with poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) pipes for polyethylene (PE) pipes, in conformity with prEN 1452-1 to 7 and prEN 12201-1 to 7 respectively, for the construction of pipelines: - to convey water (e.g. potable water); - with or without pressure; - to be installed below or above ground, inside or outside buildings.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen und die diesbezüglichen Prüfverfahren fest für duktile Gußformstücke und deren Dichtungen (Verbindungen) angewendet mit Poly(vinylchlorid) (PVC-U) Rohre oder Polyethyle (PE) Rohre, in Übereinstimmung mit prEN 1452-1 bis 7 und prEN 12201-1 bis 7, bzw. für den Rohrbau: - zum Transport von Wasser (z.B. Trinkwasser); - mit oder ohne Innendruck; - oberirdisch oder erdverlegt, innerhalb oder außerhalb von Gebäuden.

La présente norme européenne prescrit les exigences et les méthodes d'essais associées, applicables aux raccords en fonte ductile, et leurs assemblages, à utiliser avec les tuyaux en polychlorure de vinyle (PVC-U) ou en polyéthylène (PE), conformes aux prEN 1452-1 à 7 et prEN 12201-1 à 7 respectivement, destinés à la construction de canalisations: - pour transporter de l'eau (par exemple de l'eau potable); - avec ou sans pression; - pour être installées dansle sol ou en aérien, à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur des bâtiments.
