This European Standard specifies the performance requirements for the installation of lagooning processes. This part applies to wastewater lagooning processes treating municipal wastewater from combined or separate sewerage systems and when used as a tertiary treatment. Note: Lagooning processes are especially suitable for treatment of wastewater where large variations in flow are experienced (e.g. resulting from stormwater).

Sie bezieht sich auf Abwasserteiche zur Reinigung von kommunalen Abwasser aus Misch- oder Trennsystemen sowie auf Teichanlagen zur weitergehenden Reinigung. Anmerkung: Teichanlagen sind besonders dort zur Abwasserreinigung zweckmäßig, wo starke Zuflußschwankungen zu erwarten sind (z.B. aus Niederschlagswasser).

Cette partie concerne les procédés de lagunage utilisés pour l'épuration des eaux usées municipales provenant de systèmes d'assainissement unitaires ou séparatifs ainsi que lorsqu'ils constituent un traitement tertiaire. Note: Les procédés de lagunage sont spécialement adaptés au traitement des eaux usées subissant d'importantes variations de débit (résultant des eaux de pluviales, par exemple).
