This European Standard applies to valves of DN 15 and greater, made of metallic materials for chemical and petrochemical plants. It contains additional requirements to those contained in the relevant European product standards. Two levels of quality are included. All valves shall meet the requirements of level I. Valves shall meet the requirements of level II only when required by the order.

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Armaturen >/- DN 15 aus metallischen Werkstoffen für chemische und petrochemische Anlagen. Sie enthält zusätzliche Anforderungen, zu denen, die in den entsprechenden Produktnormen enthalten sind. Es sind zwei Anforderungsstufen enthalten. Alle Armaturen müssen der Anforderungsstufe I entsprechen. Armaturen müssen der Anforderungsstufe II nur entsprechen, wenn dies in der Bestellung verlangt wird.

La présente Norme européenne s'applique aux appareils de robinetterie métalliques de DN >/- 15 destinés aux usines chimiques et pétrochimiques. Elle rassemble les prescriptions complémentaires aux normes de produit appropriées. Deux niveaux de qualité sont prévus. Tous les appareils de robinetterie doivent satisfaire les exigences du niveau I. Ils doivent satisfaire celles du niveau II lorsque cela est spécifié à la commande.
