Workplace exposure - Assessment of sampler performance for measurement of airborne particle concentrations - Part 6: Transport and handling tests

This European Standard specifies a performance test of loaded collection substrates for samplers for the inhalable, thoracic or respirable aerosol fractions and, as alternative, a handling test, both for testing transport losses of aerosol sampler substrates under prescribed conditions in order to calculate the expanded uncertainty of a measuring procedure according to EN 13205 1:2012, Annex A . The transport test involves shipping loaded substrates with ordinary mail, whereas the handling test uses a shaker.
This part of EN 13205 applies to all samplers used for the health-related sampling of particles in workplace air.

Exposition am Arbeitsplatz - Beurteilung der Leistungsfähigkeit von Sammlern für die Messung der Konzentration luftgetragener Partikel - Teil 6: Prüfungen zum Transport und zur Handhabung

Diese Europäische Norm legt eine Prüfung zur Leistungsfähigkeit von beladenen Sammelsubstraten für Sammler für die einatembare, thorakale oder alveolengängige Aerosolfraktion und, als Alternative, eine Handhabungsprüfung fest, beide zum Prüfen von Substraten von Aerosolsammlern auf Transportverluste unter vorgeschriebenen Bedingungen zwecks Berechnung der erweiterten Messunsicherheit eines Mess-verfahrens nach EN 13205 1:2014, Anhang A. Die Transportprüfung schließt den Versand beladener Substrate auf dem üblichen Postweg ein, während bei der Handhabungsprüfung ein Schüttelgerät eingesetzt wird.
Dieser Teil von EN 13205 gilt für alle Sammler, die für die gesundheitsbezogene Probenahme von Partikeln aus der Luft am Arbeitsplatz eingesetzt werden.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie un essai de performance de substrats de collecte chargés pour les dispositifs de prélèvement des fractions d'aérosol inhalable, thoracique ou alvéolaire et, en tant qu'alternative, un essai de manipulation. Ces deux opérations visent à soumettre à essai les pertes dues au transport des substrats de dispositifs de prélèvement d'aérosols dans des conditions prescrites afin de calculer l'incertitude élargie d'une procédure de mesure selon l’EN 13205 1:2014, Annexe A. L'essai de transport implique l'envoi de substrats chargés par courrier ordinaire, tandis que l'essai de manipulation recourt à l'utilisation d'un agitateur.
La présente partie de l'EN 13205 s'applique à tous les dispositifs de prélèvement utilisés pour le prélèvement, à des fins sanitaires, des particules présentes sur les lieux de travail.

Standard EN 13205-6 določa preskus delovanja napolnjenih zbirnih podlag za merilnike inhalabilnih, torakalnih in respirabilnih delcev aerosolov in alternativno preskus ravnanja za preskušanje izgub pri prevozu podlag za merilnike aerosolov pod določenimi pogoji, da se izračuna razširjena negotovost merilnega postopka v skladu z dodatkom A standarda EN 13205-1:2014. Preskus prevoza vključuje pošiljanje napolnjenih podlag po običajni pošti, preskus ravnanja pa uporablja stresalnik. Ta del standarda EN 13205 velja za vse merilnike, ki se uporabljajo za vzorčenje delcev v zraku, ki so povezani z zdravjem na delovnem mestu.

1) The inhalable convention is undefined for particle sizes in excess of 100 µm or for wind speeds greater than 4 m/s. The tests required to assess performance are therefore limited to these conditions. Should such large particle sizes or wind speeds actually exist at the time of sampling, it is possible that different samplers meeting this standard give different results. SIST EN 1
