This standard specifies requirements for providing documents for the operation, mainte-nance and use of heating systems in buildings requiring a trained operator.
Parts of heating systems covered by this standard are:
- boilers or heat supply equipment, including control;
- safety arrangements, including air supply;
- district heating heat exchangers, heat meters and primary domestic hot water production facilities;
- energy sources, storage and supply;
- flue gas systems, including condensate treatment and disposal;
- heat distribution network, including associated components;
- heat emitters, including accessories;
- systems for control and supervision;
- water treatments and procedures (e.g. chemical and physical, including antifreeze).

Diese Norm legt Anforderungen an eine Dokumentation für Betrieb, Wartung und Bedienung von Heizungsanlagen in Gebäuden fest, bei denen qualifiziertes Bedienungspersonal erforderlich ist.
Im Rahmen dieser Norm gehören zu einer Heizungsanlage:
¾ Heizkessel oder Einrichtungen zur Wärmeversorgung, Steuerungs- und Regelsysteme;
¾ Sicherheitseinrichtungen, einschließlich Einrichtungen zur Verbrennungsluftzufuhr;
¾ Übergabestationen für Fernwärme, Heizkostenverteiler und primärseitige häusliche Warmwasserbereitung;
¾ Brennstoffversorgung, -lagerung und -zufuhr;
¾ Abgassysteme, einschließlich Kondensatbehandlung und -entsorgung;
¾ Einrichtungen zur Wärmeabgabe, einschließlich dazugehöriger Komponenten;
¾ Heizflächen, einschließlich Zubehör;
¾ Systeme für Steuerung/Regelung und Überwachungssysteme;
¾ Wasseraufbereitung sowie sonstige Behandlungsverfahren für Wasser (z.B. chemische, physikalische oder sonstige Verfahren einschließlich Behandlungen wegen Frostschutz).

La présente Norme européenne spécifie des exigences relatives aux documents pour la conduite, la maintenance et l'utilisation des systèmes de chauffage dans les bâtiments nécessitant un opérateur professionnel pour la conduite.
Les parties de systèmes de chauffage prises en compte dans la présente norme sont les suivantes :
   chaudières ou systèmes d'adduction de chaleur, y compris la commande ;
   dispositifs de sécurité, y compris l'alimentation en air ;
   installations de production d'eau chaude domestique ;
   stockage et alimentation en énergie ;
   conduits de fumée, y compris le recueil et l'évacuation des condensats ;
   réseau de distribution de chaleur, y compris les composants associés ;
   émetteurs de chaleur, y compris les accessoires ;
   systèmes de commande et supervision ;
   traitement des eaux et modes opératoires (par exemple, chimique, physique, y compris antigel).
