Characterization of sludges - Determination of the loss on ignition of dry mass
This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of the loss on ignition of dry mass of sludges and sludge products at 550 °C after the dry residues have been determined in accordance with the method of EN 12880. NOTE It should be noted that inorganic substances or decomposition products (e.g. H2O, CO2, SO2, O2) are released or absorbed and some inorganic substances are volatile under the reaction conditions.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Glühverlustes der Trockenmasse von Schlämmen und Schlammprodukten bei 550 °C im Anschluß an die Bestimmung des Trockenrückstandes des Schlamms nach EN 12880 fest.
ANMERKUNG Es sollte beachtet werden, daß anorganische Substanzen oder Zersetzungsprodukte (z. B. H2O, CO2, SO2, O2) freigesetzt oder aufgenommen werden können und einige anorganische Substanzen unter den Reaktionsbedingungen leicht flüchtig sind.

La présente norme européenne spécifie une méthode de détermination de la perte au feu des matières sèches des boues et des produits dérivés à 550 °C, après que les teneurs en matière sèche aient été déterminées selon le EN 12880. NOTE Il convient de noter que des substances minérales ou des produits de décomposition (par exemple H2O, CO2, SO2, O2) sont dégagés ou absorbés et que quelques substances minérales sont volatiles dans les conditions opératoires.
