Small craft - Fire protection (ISO 9094:2015)

ISO 9094:2015 defines a practical degree of fire prevention and protection intended to provide enough time for occupants to escape a fire on board small craft.
It applies to all small craft of up to 24 m length of hull (LH) except for personal watercraft.
ISO 9094:2015 excludes:
       the design and installation of those permanently installed galley stoves and heating appliances (including components used to distribute the heat) using fuels that are liquid at atmospheric pressure on small craft, which are covered by ISO 14895;
       carbon monoxide detecting systems, which are covered by ISO 12133.

L'ISO 9094:2015 définit un niveau pratique de prévention et de protection contre l'incendie destiné à donner un temps suffisant aux occupants d'un petit navire pour échapper à un incendie.
Elle s'applique aux bateaux d'une longueur de coque (LH)  inférieure ou égale à 24 m, à l'exception des véhicules nautiques à moteur.
L'ISO 9094:2015 exclut:
       la conception et l'installation des réchauds de cuisine et appareils de chauffage installés à demeure sur les petits navires et utilisant du combustible liquide à la pression atmosphérique, qui sont couverts par l'ISO 14895;
       les systèmes de détection du monoxyde de carbone qui sont couverts par l'ISO 12133.

Mala plovila - Požarna zaščita (ISO 9094:2015)

Ta mednarodni standard določa praktično raven preprečevanja požara in protipožarne zaščite, ki naj bi zagotovila dovolj časa, da uporabniki manjšega plovila ubežijo požaru na krovu.
Uporablja se za vsa mala plovila z dolžino trupa (LH) do 24 m, razen za osebna plovila.
Ta mednarodni standard ne zajema:
– načrtovanja in namestitve na malih plovilih trajno nameščenih kuhalnikov in grelnih naprav (vključno s komponentami za distribucijo toplote) na goriva, ki so pri atmosferskem tlaku v tekočem stanju, obravnavanih v standardu ISO 14895;
– sistemov za zaznavanje ogljikovega monoksida, ki jih zajema standard ISO 12133[3].

The text of ISO 9094:2015 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 188 “Small craft” of the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 9094:2017.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2018, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2018.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 9094:2015.
This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the
European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s).

Relationship between this European Standard and the Essential
Requirements of EU Directive 2013/53/EU
This European Standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European
Commission and the European Free Trade Association to provide one means of conforming to Essential
Requirements of the New Approach Directive 2013/53/EU.
Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Directive and has
been implemented as a national standard in at least one Member State, compliance with the normative
clauses of this standard given in Table ZA.1 confers, within the limits of the scope of this standard, a
presumption of conformity with the relevant Essential Requirements of that Directive and associated
EFTA regulations.
