Thermoplastics rigid protective wallcovering panels for internal use in buildings - Performance characteristics

This document specifies characteristics for thermoplastics rigid protective wallcovering panels whose purposes are decorative and protective, but non-structural.
The thermoplastics rigid protective wallcovering panels are intended to be used as finishes for hanging onto internal walls and wall partitions by means of adhesive. Their surface may be with or without embossing.
It also specifies the procedures for the assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP) of the thermoplastics rigid protective wallcovering panels.
This document does not cover thermoplastics rigid protective wallcovering panels:
-   fixed onto internal walls and wall partitions by other means than by adhesives, as well as the adhesives and ancillary products themselves,
-   intended to be used on ceilings.

Kunststoff-Wandschutzplatten für die Anwendung in Gebäuden - Leistungsmerkmale

Dieses Dokument legt Merkmale für Kunststoff-Wandschutzplatten fest, deren Zwecke dekorativ und schützend, aber nicht strukturell sind.
Die Kunststoff-Wandschutzplatten sollen als Verkleidungen zum Anbringen mittels Klebstoff an Innenwänden und Trennwänden verwendet werden. Ihre Oberfläche kann mit oder ohne Prägung gestaltet sein.
Ferner legt dieses Dokument Methoden für die Bewertung und Überprüfung der Leistungsbeständigkeit (en: assessment and verification of constancy of performance, AVCP) der Kunststoff-Wandschutzplatten fest.
Dieses Dokument behandelt keine Kunststoff-Wandschutzplatten,
-   die mit anderen Mitteln als mit Klebstoff an Innenwänden und Trennwänden befestigt werden, sowie die Klebe- und Zubehörprodukte selbst;
-   die für die Anwendung an Decken vorgesehen sind.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques des panneaux de protection murale rigides en thermoplastiques utilisés pour la décoration et pour la protection, sans rôle structurel.
Les panneaux de protection murale rigides en thermoplastiques sont destinés à être utilisés comme finitions accrochées sur les murs intérieurs et les cloisons au moyen d’une colle. Leur surface peut comporter ou non un grainage.
Il spécifie également les procédures d’évaluation et de vérification de la constance des performances (EVCP) des panneaux de protection murale rigides en thermoplastiques.
Le présent document ne traite pas des panneaux de protection murale rigides en thermoplastiques:

the secretariat of which is held by NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2021, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by October 2022.

1 Scope
This document specifies characteristics for thermoplastics rigid protective wallcovering panels whose
purposes are decorative and protective, but non-structural.
The thermoplastics rigid protective wallcovering panels are intended to be used as finishes for hanging
onto internal walls and wall partitions by means of adhesive. Their surface may be with or without
embossing.
It also specifies the procedures for the assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP)
of the thermoplastics rigid protective wallcovering panels.
