This European Standard establishes a classification for emulsion polymerised isocyanate (EPI) adhesives according to their suitability for use in load-bearing timber structures in defined climatic exposure conditions, and specifies performance requirements for such adhesives for the industrial manufacture of load-bearing timber structures only.
The performance requirements of this standard apply to the adhesive only, not to the structure.
This European Standard is primarily intended for the use of adhesive manufacturers and for the use in timber structures bonded with adhesives, to assess or control the quality of adhesives. This European Standard only specifies the performance of an adhesive for use in an environment corresponding to the defined conditions.
Such an adhesive meeting the requirements of this European Standard for its type is adequate for use in a load-bearing timber structure, provided that the bonding process has been carried out according to an appropriate product standard.

Diese Europäische Norm stellt ein Klassifizierungssystem für Klebstoffe aus emulsionspolymerisiertem Isocyanat (EPI) entsprechend ihrer Eignung zur Verwendung für tragende Holzbauteile auf, die unter bestimmten Klimabedingungen zum Einsatz kommen und legt die Leistungsanforderungen für derartige Klebstoffe ausschließlich zur industriellen Herstellung von tragenden Holzbauteilen fest.
!Die Leistungsanforderungen dieser Europäischen Norm gelten lediglich für den Klebstoff, nicht für das Holzbauteil. Diese Europäische Norm behandelt weder das Leistungsverhalten von Klebstoffen für die Vor-Ort-Verklebung (ausgenommen bei werksähnlichen Bedingungen) noch die Produktion von Holz-werkstoffen, ausgenommen Massivholzplatten; sie gilt nicht für modifiziertes und vergütetes Holz mit beträchtlich verringerten Quellungs- und Schwindungseigenschaften, wie z. B. acetyliertes Holz, wärmebehandeltes Holz und mit Polymer imprägniertes Holz."
Diese Europäische Norm ist in erster Linie für den Gebrauch durch die Hersteller der Klebstoffe und der verklebten Holzbauteile bestimmt, um die Qualität von Klebstoffen zu beurteilen oder zu überprüfen. Diese Europäische Norm legt nur die Leistungsanforderungen an einen Klebstoff fest, der in einer Umgebung Verwendung findet, die den festgelegten Bedingungen entspricht.
Ein den Anforderungen dieser Europäischen Norm entsprechender Klebstoff ist für die Verwendung in einem tragenden Holzbauteil geeignet, sofern der Verklebungsvorgang nach einer entsprechenden Produktnorm ausgeführt wurde.

La présente Norme européenne établit une classification des adhésifs isocyanate polymérisé en émulsion (EPI) en fonction de leur aptitude à l’utilisation dans des structures portantes en bois dans des conditions climatiques définies, et spécifie les exigences de performance de ce type d’adhésifs pour la fabrication industrielle de structures portantes en bois uniquement.
!Les exigences de performance définies dans la présente Norme européenne ne s’appliquent qu’aux adhésifs et non à la structure en bois. La présente Norme européenne n'a pas pour objet la performance des adhésifs utilisés pour le collage sur site (à l'exception des conditions similaires à la fabrication en usine) ou pour la fabrication de panneaux à base de bois, à l'exception des panneaux en bois massif, ou pour le bois modifié et stabilisé ayant une propension considérablement réduite au gonflement et au rétrécissement, par exemple le bois acétylé, le bois traité à la chaleur et le bois imprégné de polymère."
La présente Norme européenne est principalement destinée à être utilisée par les fabricants d’adhésifs et pour les structures en bois collées par des adhésifs, et permet d’évaluer ou de contrôler la qualité des adhésifs. Elle ne spécifie la performance des adhésifs que dans l’environnement correspondant aux conditions définies.
Un adhésif répondant aux exigences de la présente Norme européenne relatives à son type peut être utilisé dans une structure portante en bois, à condition que le processus de collage ait été réalisé conformément à une norme de produit appropriée.

Ta evropski standard določa razvrstitev za lepila na osnovi emulzijsko polimeriziranega izocianata (EPI) v skladu z njihovo primernostjo za uporabo pri nosilnih lesenih konstrukcijah v določenih pogojih izpostavljenosti podnebnim razmeram in določa zahteve glede učinkovitosti za ta lepila, izključno za industrijsko izdelavo nosilnih lesenih konstrukcij.
Zahteve glede učinkovitosti v tem standardu se uporabljajo samo za lepila, ne za konstrukcije.
Ta evropski standard je namenjen predvsem za proizvajalce lepil in za uporabo pri lesenih konstrukcijah, vezanih z lepili, za ocenjevanje ali nadzor kakovosti lepil. Ta evropski standard določa učinkovitost lepila izključno za uporabo v okolju, ki ustreza podanim pogojem.
