This draft European Standard classifies thermoplastic wood adhesives for non-structural applications into durability classes D1 to D4 based on the dry and wet strengths of bond-lines measured under specified conditions after various conditioning treatments. For special applications, further tests which do not fall within the scope of this standard may be applicable. The adhesives described in this standard are suitable for the bonding of furniture and interior structures, panelling, doors, windows, stairs etc made of wood or derived timber products.

1 Anwendungsbereich
Diese Norm stellt ein Klassifizierungssystem für thermoplastische Holzklebstoffe für nichttragende Anwendungen auf. Die Klassifizierung in die Beanspruchungsgruppen D1 bis D4 erfolgt auf der Grundlage von Messungen der Festigkeit von Klebstofffugen im nassen und trockenen Zustand unter festgelegten Bedingungen im Anschluss an unterschiedliche Lagerungsfolgen.
Für spezielle Anwendungen können weitere Prüfungen erforderlich sein, die nicht in den Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm fallen.
Die in dieser Norm behandelten Klebstoffe können für das Verkleben von Möbeln und im Innenausbau sowie bei Bekleidungen, Türen, Fenstern, Treppen usw. angewendet werden, wenn diese aus Holz oder Holzwerkstoffen bestehen.
Die Temperatur-Beständigkeit von Klebstofffugen wird in dieser Norm nicht behandelt.
ANMERKUNG   ¿Thermoplast" wird in EN 923 definiert als: ¿Polymer oder Mischpolymer, das beim Erwärmen erweicht und sich beim Abkühlen verfestigt".

1 Domaine d'application
La présente Norme européenne s'applique à la classification des colles à bois pour usages non structuraux en classes d'usage D1 à D4, sur la base de la mesure de la résistance des joints collés humides et secs dans des conditions données, après différents traitements de conditionnement.
Certaines utilisations particulières peuvent nécessiter des essais complémentaires, qui n'entrent pas dans le domaine d'application de la présente norme.
Les colles décrites dans la présente norme peuvent être utilisées pour des meubles, menuiseries, revêtements de murs, portes, fenêtres, escaliers, etc., en bois ou en matériaux dérivés du bois.
Cette norme ne définit pas la résistance à la température des joints collés.
NOTE   Les résines thermoplastiques sont décrites dans EN 923 comme étant des polymères ou copolymères capables d'être ramollies par chauffage ou durcies par refroidissement.
