This European Standard specifies a method for determining the ability of metallic tubes of circular cross section to undergo plastic deformation during flang formation. It is intended that the Standard should be applicable to tubes having an outside diameter not greater than 150mm and a wall thickness not greater than 10mm. The range of diameters or wall thickness for which this European Standard is applicable may be more exactly specified in the relevant product standard.

In dieser Europäischen Norm ist ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Eignung metallischer Rohre mit kreisförmigem Durchmesser zur Flaschbildung festgelegt. Diese Norm sollte für Rohre mit einem Aussendurchmesser nicht grösser als 150mm und einer Wanddicke nicht grösser als 10mm angewendet werden. Der Bereich der Aussendurchmesser oder der Wanddicken, für den diese Europäische Norm zutrifft, kann genauer in der entsprechnden Erzugnisnorm festgelegt sein.
