EN 13111:2010 - published by CEN - specifies a laboratory test method to determine the resistance to water penetration of flexible sheets used as underlays for discontinuous roofing and walls. This European Standard describes the test principle, apparatus, specimen preparation, procedure and reporting requirements for measuring how much water penetrates a sheet under a defined waterhead. EN 13111:2010 supersedes EN 13111:2001 and is intended as a product test method (it does not set performance pass/fail criteria).

- Test temperature (23 ± 2) °C.
- Pour (2,25 ± 0,02) L of demineralised water into the device within 1 minute down the inclined plane.
- Test duration: 3 h ± 5 min after filling; protect against vibrations.
- Result measurement and reporting:
- Penetrated water collected in a basin, measured volumetrically or by weighing.
- Report individual specimen volumes with an accuracy of 2 ml, rounded to the nearest 1 ml.
- Test report must identify product details, reference EN 13111, list test conditions and individual results.
