The scope of this standard is the sludges, i.e. and sludges products from: - storm water handling; - night soil; - urban wastewater collecting systems; - urban wastewater treatment plants; - treating industrial wastewater similar to urban wastewater (as defined in Directive 91/271 EEC); - water supply treatment plants; - water distribution systems; - but excluding hazardous sludges from industry.

Der Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm betrifft den Schlamm und alle Produkte, die vom Schlamm entstammen, d.h. aus: - der Regenwasserbehandlung; - der Fäkalienentsorgung; - der kommunalen Abwasserkanalisation; - den kommunalen Kläranlagen und aus der Behandlung ähnlicher Industrieabwasser (wie in Richtlinie 91/271 EWG festgelegt); - den Wasseraufbereitungsanlagen; - den Wasserversorgungsnetzen mit Ausnahme von gefährlichen Industrieschlämmen.

Le domaine d'application de la présente norme concerne les boues et les produits issus des boues, c'est à dire: - de la collecte des eaux pluviales; - des matières de vidange; - des systèmes de collecte des eaux usées urbaines; - des stations d'épuration des eaux usées urbaines; - des stations d'épuration des eaux usées et eaux industrielles assimilées telles que définies dans la Directive Européenne 91/271 CEE; - des usines de production d'eau potable; - des systèmes de distribution d'eau potable; - à l'exception des boues industrielles dangereuses.
