General Information
Frequently Asked Questions
ISO/TC 131/SC 4/WG 9 is a Subcommittee within the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is named "Pneumatic tubing and connectors". This committee has published 6 standards.
ISO/TC 131/SC 4/WG 9 develops ISO standards. Currently, there are 6 published standards from this subcommittee.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental international organization that develops and publishes international standards. Founded in 1947 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, ISO brings together experts from 170+ member countries to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus-based standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges.
A Subcommittee (SC) in ISO operates under a Technical Committee and focuses on a specific subset of the TC's scope. Subcommittees develop standards and technical specifications in their specialized area, reporting to their parent Technical Committee. They may also have working groups for detailed technical work.
This document specifies dimensions and performance requirements for ports and stud ends with parallel threads (G series thread) for pneumatic fluid power applications. It specifies reusable, positively retained seals for leak-free connections, for use at pressures from −0,09 MPa (−0,9 bar) up to 1,6 MPa (16 bar). This document is applicable for threaded ports and stud ends specified in new designs in pneumatic fluid power applications. WARNING - Ports and stud ends conforming to this document are not intended to connect with ports and stud ends that conform to ISO 1179 (all parts) or threads that conform to ISO 7-1. As shown in Figure 1, significant differences in thread depth exists between ISO 16030 requirement and ISO 1179-1 (Δ1 and Δ2) that makes ports and stud ends conforming to ISO 7-1 unsuitable.

This document specifies the general requirements and test methods for the design and performance of push-in connectors for use with thermoplastic tubes with outside diameters (OD) from 3 mm to 16 mm including dimensions in inches. This document is intended to establish uniform methods of testing complete push-in connector assemblies as used in pneumatic fluid power applications. It is not applicable to air braking systems.

ISO/TS 11619:2014 specifies the requirements for flexible thermoplastic polyurethane tubing conveying compressed air, for use in the ambient temperature range from 23 °C to 60 °C, in sizes from 3 mm to 12 mm outside diameter. Working pressure depends on the tube size and the service temperature. Tubing may be used with push on connectors which are specified in ISO 14743.

This International Standard specifies dimensions and performance requirements for ports and stud ends with parallel threads for pneumatic fluid power applications. It specifies reusable, positively retained seals for leak-free connections, for use at pressures from ? 0,09 MPa (? 0,9 bar 1)) up to 1,6 MPa (16 bar). Only this International Standard is applicable for threaded ports and stud ends specified in new designs in pneumatic fluid power applications. Ports and stud ends conforming to this International Standard are not intended to connect with ports and stud ends that conform to ISO 1179 or threads that conform to ISO 7-1.
