IEC 60335-2-107:2012 deals with the safety of robotic battery powered electrical rotary lawnmowers with the rated voltage of the battery being not more than 75 V d.c. charged by mains electrical and/or solar power. This International Standard does not apply to non-robotic machines such as lawn trimmers, lawn edge trimmers, lawn edgers, ride-on lawnmowers or pedestrian controlled lawnmowers. This standard is not applicable to EMC and environmental hazards (except noise). This standard deals with the common hazards presented by battery powered robotic lawnmowers for use around the home or for similar purposes. Requirements for batteries are covered by IEC 62133. This International Standard is not applicable to machines, which are manufactured before the date of publication of this document by IEC.
This publication is to be read in conjunction with IEC 60335-1:2001.

IEC 60335-2-91:2008 deals with the safety of electric powered walk-behind and hand-held lawn trimmers and lawn edge trimmers, with cutting element(s) of non metallic filament line or freely pivoting non metallic cutter(s), with a kinetic energy of not more than 10 J each, used by a standing operator for cutting grass, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for a.c. or 50 V d.c.. Main changes in this edition include the revised endurance test in Clause 18; Annex B, which allows for battery-powered trimmers; and addition of informative Annexes BB, CC and EE on vibration, noise and safety instructions.

Deals with the safety of electric powered hand-held scissors type grass shears with a maximum cutting width of 200 mm designed primarily for cutting grass, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for a.c. or 50 V d.c.

Applies to chain saws for cutting wood and designed for use by one person. This standard does not cover chain saws designed for use in conjunction with a guide-plate and riving knife or in any other way such as with a support or as a stationary or transportable machine. Does not apply to chain saws for tree service as defined in ISO 11681-2, pole cutters and pruners.

Deals with the safety of hand held mains operated electrical garden vacuums, blower/vacuums (with or without shredding means) and garden blowers, with a rated voltage of not more than 250 V single phase.

Deals with the safety of pedestrian controlled mains-operated electrical cylinder or rotary lawnmowers designed primarily for use around the home or for similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V single phase. It does not apply to lawn trimmers, lawn edge trimmers, lawn edgers, flail mowers, sickle-bar mowers, or agricultural mowers.

Deals with the safety of pedestrian-controlled mains-operated electric lawn scarifiers and aerators. These scarifiers have rotating cutters for regenerating lawns by, for instance, combing out grass thatch and moss, or by cutting vertically into the lawn face.
