ISO 19225:2017 does not cover any hazards resulting from explosive atmospheres. Requirements for explosive atmospheres can be found in ISO/IEC 80079‑38.
ISO 19225:2017 is not applicable to machines that are manufactured before the date of its publication.

This Standard specifies the requirements for mobile extracting machines working underground at the face. This includes their control systems and face and goaf-side guiding and haulage elements. Conveyors, spill plates and auxiliary devices such as lasers, etc., are excluded.
