This document specifies product characteristics, and test/assessment methods and compliance criteria of the test results for smoke barriers which comprise the barrier itself, with or without associated activation and drive devices. Smoke barriers are intended to be installed in smoke control systems in construction works.
There are two type of smoke barriers (see Annex G).
1.2      Exclusions
This document does not apply to;
-   barriers made of part of the building’s structure;
-   theatre textile curtains;
-   operable fabric curtains according to EN 16034.
