This International Standard specifies the characteristics of coiled light duty spring-type straight pins made of steel or of austenitic or martensitic stainless steel, with a nominal diameter, d1, from 1,5 mm to 8 mm inclusive.

Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt die Eigenschaften von Spiralspannstiften aus Stahl oder aus austenitischem oder martensitischem nicht rostendem Stahl, leichte Ausführung, mit Nenndurchmesser d1 von 1,5 mm bis einschließlich 8 mm.
ANMERKUNG Spiralspannstifte in schwerer Ausführung und in Regelausführung werden in ISO 8748 und ISO 8750 beschrieben.

Foreword
This document (EN ISO 8751:2007) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 2 "Fasteners" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 185 "Fasteners”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2007, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by October 2007.
This document supersedes EN ISO 8751:1997.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
