This test is applicable to bituminous mixtures (both made up in laboratory and those resulting from work site operations), with a maximum grain size not larger than 31,5 mm.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Bezugsraumdichten von Asphalten fest. Diese Dichten werden an Proben ermittelt, die durch drei alternative Verdichter mit festgelegten Verdichtungsenergien nach prEN 12697-30, prEN 12697-31 und prEN 12697-32 für Schlagverdichter, Gyrator- und Vibrationsverdichter verdichtet worden sind.
Diese Europäische Norm ist auf Asphalte mit einer vom Verdichtungsverfahren abhängigen Korngröße D £ 31,5 mm anwendbar, die sowohl im Labor als auch unter Baustellenbedingungen hergestellt sein können

La présente Norme européenne décrit une méthode d'essai pour la détermination des masses volumiques de référence des mélanges bitumineux. Ces masses volumiques sont obtenues sur des éprouvettes pouvant être compactées à l'aide de trois compacteurs différents, les énergies de compactage étant conformes au prEN 12697-30, au prEN 12697-31 et au prEN 12697-32, respectivement pour les compacteurs à impact, à cisaillement giratoire et vibrant.
La présente Norme européenne est applicable aux mélanges bitumineux réalisés en laboratoire et à ceux obtenus à partir d'opérations sur chantier, avec D dépendant de la méthode de compactage et n'étant pas > 31,5 mm.
