Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - Part 4-18: Testing and measurement techniques - Damped oscillatory wave immunity test

This part of IEC 61000-4 relates to the immunity requirements and test methods for electrical and electronic equipment, under operational conditions, with regard to: a) repetitive damped oscillatory waves occurring mainly in power, control and signal cables installed in high voltage and medium voltage (HV/MV) substations; b) repetitive damped oscillatory waves occurring mainly in power, control and signal cables installed in gas insulated substations (GIS) and in some cases also air insulated substations (AIS) or in any installation due to HEMP phenomena. The object of this basic standard is to establish the immunity requirements and a common reference for evaluating in a laboratory the performance of electrical and electronic equipment intended for residential, commercial and industrial applications, as well as of equipment intended for power stations and substations, as applicable.

Ta del IEC 61000 se nanaša na zahteve za odpornost in preskusne metode za električno in elektronsko opremo pod delovnimi pogoji v zvezi s: a) ponavljajočimi se nihajnimi valovi, do katerih večinoma prihaja pri napajalnih, nadzornih in signalnih kablih, nameščenih v visokonapetostnih in srednjenapetostnih (VN/SN) razdelilnih postajah; b) ponavljajočimi se nihajnimi valovi, do katerih prihaja večinoma pri napajalnih, nadzornih in signalnih kablih, nameščenih v plinsko izoliranih razdelilnih postajah (GIS) in v nekaterih primerih tudi v zračno izoliranih razdelilnih postajah (AIS) ali v kateri koli inštalaciji zaradi pojava HEMP. Cilj tega osnovnega standarda je vzpostavitev zahtev za odpornost in splošne reference za laboratorijsko ocenjevanje delovanja električne in elektronske opreme za bivalno, gospodarsko in industrijsko uporabo ter opreme za električne centrale in razdelilne postaje, kakor je primerno.

This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN 61000-4-18:2007; it was approved by CENELEC on
2010-07-01. CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which
stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the status of a national standard without any alteration.

Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on
application to the Central Secretariat or to any CENELEC member.
