Elle traite de la détermination des performances; elle permet la comparaison des matériels en énumérant les caractéristiques utiles pour les spécifier et en définissant des méthodes de mesure uniformes de ces caractéristiques. Les exigences en performances ne sont pas spécifiées, puisqu'elles sont détaillées dans d'autres normes internationales, régionales ou nationales pour les systèmes. La présente version bilingue correspond à la version anglaise monolingue publiée en 2002-02.

Foreword
The text of the International Standard IEC 62028:2002, prepared by IEC TC 100, Audio, video and
multimedia systems and equipment, was submitted to the Unique Acceptance Procedure and was
approved by CENELEC as EN 62028 on 2003-12-01 without any modification.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2004-12-01
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2006-12-01
Annex ZA has been added by CENELEC.
