Safety of transformers, reactors, power supply units and combinations thereof - Part 2-12: Particular requirements and tests for constant voltage transformers and power supply units for constant voltage
IEC 61558-2-12:2011 deals with the safety of constant voltage transformers for general applications and power supply units for constant voltage for general applications. Constant voltage transformers incorporating electronic circuits are also covered by this standard. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2001. It constitutes a technical revision. The main changes consist of updating this part in accordance with IEC 61558-1:2009. This part has the status of a group safety publication in accordance with IEC Guide 104: The preparation of safety publications and the use of basic safety publications and group safety publications. The attention of National Committees is drawn to the fact that equipment manufacturers and testing organizations may need a transitional period following publication of a new, amended or revised IEC publication in which to make products in accordance with the new requirements and to equip themselves for conducting new or revised tests. It is the recommendation of the committee that the content of this publication be adopted for implementation nationally not earlier than 12 months from the date of publication. In the meantime, the previous edition can still be ordered by contacting your local IEC member National Committee or the IEC Central Office.

La CEI 61558-2-12:2011 traite de la sécurité des transformateurs à tension constante pour applications d'ordre général et des blocs d'alimentation pour tension constante pour applications d'ordre général. Les transformateurs à tension constante incorporant des circuits électroniques sont également couverts par la présente norme. Cette deuxième édition annule et remplace la première édition parue en 2001, dont elle constitue une révision technique. Les principales modifications consistent en la mise à jour de la présente partie, conformément à la CEI 61558-1:2009. La présente partie a le statut de publication groupée de sécurité, conformément au Guide CEI 104: Élaboration des publications de sécurité et utilisation des publications fondamentales de sécurité et publications groupées de sécurité. L'attention des Comités nationaux est attirée sur le fait que les constructeurs des appareils et les organismes d'essai peuvent avoir besoin d'une période transitoire, à la parution d'une publication CEI qu'elle soit nouvelle, modifiée ou révisée, pour mettre les produits en conformité avec les nouvelles exigences et pour s'équiper eux-mêmes afin de réaliser de nouveaux essais ou des essais révisés. Le comité recommande que le contenu de la présente publication soit adopté pour mise en uvre au niveau national au plus tôt 12 mois après la date de publication. Pendant ce temps, l'édition précédente peut toujours être commandée auprès du Comité National CEI de votre pays ou auprès du bureau Central de la CEI.

Ta del IEC 61558 obravnava varnost transformatorjev s konstantno napetostjo za splošno uporabo in napajalnike s konstantno napetostjo za splošno uporabo. V tem standardu so prav tako zajeti transformatorji s konstantno napetostjo, ki vsebujejo elektronska vezja.
OPOMBA 1: Varnost vključuje električne, toplotne in mehanske vidike.
Razen če je drugače navedeno, v nadaljevanju izraz transformator zajema transformatorje s konstantno napetostjo za splošno uporabo in napajalnike s konstantno napetostjo za splošno uporabo.
Ta del velja za nepremične ali prenosne, enofazne ali večfazne, zračno hlajene (naravno ali vsiljeno), samostojne ali povezane transformatorje suhega tipa:
– avtotransformatorji s konstantno napetostjo;
– ločilni transformatorji s konstantno napetostjo;
– izolacijski transformatorji s konstantno napetostjo;
– varnostni izolacijski transformatorji s konstantno napetostjo.
Navitje je lahko inkapsulirano ali nekapsulirano.
Ta standard velja za transformatorje in napajalnike (linearne) z notranjimi obratovalnimi frekvencami, ki ne presegajo 500 Hz.
Ta standard, v kombinaciji z delom za stikalne napajalnike od 2 do 16 (SMPS), velja tudi za napajalnike z notranjimi obratovalnimi frekvencami, višjimi od 500 Hz. Kjer sta zahtevi v nasprotju, ima prednost najstrožja.
Nazivna napetost napajanja ne presega 1000 V izmeničnega toka, nazivna frekvenca napajanja ne presega 500 Hz, notranja obratovalna resonančna frekvenca ne presega 30 kHz in notranja obratovalna frekvenca ne presega 100 MHz.
Nazivna izhodna moč ne presega:
– 40 kVA za enofazne avtotransformatorje s konstantno napetostjo;
– 200 kVA za večfazne avtotransformatorje s konstantno napetostjo;
– 25 kVA za enofazne ločilne transformatorje s konstantno napetostjo in izolacijske transformatorje s konstantno napetostjo;
– 40 kVA za večfazne ločilne transformatorje s konstantno napetostjo in izolacijske transformatorje s konstantno napetostjo;
– 10 kVA za enofazne varnostne izolacijske transformatorje s konstantno napetostjo;
– 16 kVA za večfazne varnostne izolacijske transformatorje s konstantno napetostjo.
Ta del velja za transformatorje brez omejitve nazivne izhodne moči, ki je predmet dogovora med kupcem in proizvajalcem.

Foreword The text of document 96/370/FDIS, future edition 2 of IEC 61558-2-12, prepared by IEC TC 96, Transformers, reactors, power supply units and similar products for low voltage up to 1 100 V, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 61558-2-12 on 2011-03-03. This European Standard supersedes EN 61558-2-12:2001. The main changes consist of updating EN 61558-2-12:2011 in accordance with EN 61558-1:2005 + A1:2009. This standard is to be used in conjunction with EN 61558-1:2005 + A1:2009 This part supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses in EN 61558-1, so as to convert that publication into the European Standard: Particular requirements and tests for constant voltage transformers and power supply units for constant voltage. Where a particular subclause of Part 1 is not mentioned in this part, that subclause applies as far as is reasonable. Where this part states "addition", "modification" or "replacement", the relevant text of Part 1 has to be adopted accordingly. In this part, the following print types are used: − requirements proper: in roman type; − test specifications: in italic type; − explanatory matter: in smaller roman type. In the text of this part the words in bold are defined in Clause 3. FOREWORD 1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote international co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To this end and in addition to other activities, IEC publishes International Standards, Technical Specifications, Technical Reports, Publicly Available Specifications (PAS) and Guides (hereafter referred to as “IEC Publication(s)”). Their preparation is entrusted to technical committees; any IEC National Committee interested in the subject dealt with may participate in this preparatory work.
