Diese Europäische Norm legt die Vorgehensweise nach einem Flußdiagramm fest, siehe Anhang A, das zur Klassifizierung innerer Schweißnahtanzeigen als flächig oder voluminös vorgesehen ist. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nur für solche Anzeigen, die in einem Abstand von mindestens 5 mm von nichtbeschliffene Oberflächen geortet wurden, siehe Bild 1.

La présente norme définit un schéma décisionnel (procédure cascade), voir annexeA, qui est destiné à effectuer par ultrasons la classification conventionnelle des indications internes de soudure en indication volumique ou en indication non volumique. la présente norme n'est applicable que pour des indications situées au moins à 5 mm de chacune des faces non arasées de l'assemblage, voir figure 1.
