This European Standard specifies a method for determining the deformation of dense and insulating shaped refractory products subjected to a constant load under conditions of progressively rising temperature, or 'refractoriness under load' by a differential method, with rising temperature. The test may be carried out up to a maximum temperature of 1700 °C.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Verformung von dichten feuerfesten Erzeugnissen und geformten feuerfesten Erzeugnissen für Isolationszwecke, die bei einem konstanten Druck einer gleichmäßig steigenden Temperatur unterworfen werden, oder des "Druckerweichens" mittels eines differentiellen Meßverfahrens bei steigender Temperatur fest. Die Bestimmung kann bis zu einer Maximaltemperatur von 1 700 °C durchgeführt werden.

La présente Norme Européenne prescrit une méthode pour la détermination de la déformation des produits réfractaires façonnés, denses et isolants soumis à une charge constante au cours d'une élévation progressive de la température. Il s'agit de "l'affaissement sous charge" méthode différentielle, avec élévation de la température. L'essai peut être réalisé jusqu'à une température maximale de 1700 °C.
