Diese Internationale Norm legt die Eigenschaften von Zylinderschrauben mit Innensechskant mit Gewinde von M 1,6 bis einschließlich M 64 in Produktklasse A fest. Die Lehrung der Innensechskante ist in Anhang A festgelegt. Angaben über die ungefähren Gewichte enthält Anhang B. Werden in besonderen Fällen andere Festlegungen als die in der vorliegenden Internationalen Norm benötigt, so sind diese den bestehenden Internationalen Normen zu entnehmen, z.B. ISO 261, ISO 888, ISO 898-1, ISO 965-2, ISO 3506-1 und ISO 4759-1.
