This European standard specifies materials, assembly dimensions and tolerances and test requirements for fittings of copper and copper alloys with or without plating. Maximum permissible temperatures and pressures are also established. This part of prEN 1254 specifies connection end dimensions of capillary soldering and brazing ends for the purposes of joining copper tubes specified in EN 1057. Fittings may comprise a combination of any of the end types specified in prEN 1254-1 to prEN 1254-5 or other standards. The standard establishes a designation system for the fittings.

Die Fittings können eine Kombination aller Anschlußarten umfassen, die in prEN 1254-1 bis prEN 1254-5 oder anderen Normen festgelegt sind. Die Norm legt ein Bezeichnungssystem für Fittings fest.
Cuivre et alliages de cuivre - Raccords - Partie 1: Raccords à braser par capillarité pour tubes en cuivre
La présente norme européenne spécifie les matériaux, les dimensions et les tolérances d'assemblage ainsi que les prescriptions d'essai concernant les raccords en cuivre et alliages de cuivre, avec ou sans revêtement. Les températures et les pressions de service maximales acceptables sont aussi établies. Cette partie du prEN 1254 spécifie les dimensions des extrémités de raccords à braser par capillarité destinés à l'assemblage de tubes en cuivre spécifiés dans l'EN 1057. Les raccords peuvent comporter une combinaison de plusieurs types d'extrémités spécifiés dans prEN 1254-1 à -5.
