This European Standard describes procedures for the testing of fluorescent whitened paper and board intended to come into contact with foodstuffs. Two procedures are given. Procedure A for contact of long duration (e.g. foodpackaging) and procedure B for contact of short duration (e.g. napkins, kitchen, papers, household papers).

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt Verfahren zur Prüfung von optisch aufgehelltem Papier und Pappe, die bestimmungsgemäss in Kontakt mit Lebensmitteln kommen. Es werden zwei Verfahren angegeben: Verfahren A für langzeitigen Kontakt (z.B. Lebensmittelverpackung) und Verfahren B für kurzzeitigen Kontakt (z.B. Servietten, Küchentücher, Haushaltpapiere).

La présente norme européenne décrit des méthodes d'essai de papier et de carton blanchis par des agents d'azurage fluorescents destinés à entrer en contact avec les denrées alimentaires. Deux méthodes sont proposées. La méthode A pour un contact de longue durée ( par exemple, conditionnement des aliments) et la méthode B pour un contact de courte durée ( par exemple, nappes, essuie-tout, papiers à usage domestique).
