Fume cupboards - Part 3: Type test methods

This document specifies type test methods for the assessment of safety and performance of fume cupboards connected to an exhaust air system. Relevant requirements are specified in EN 14175-2.
For terms and their definitions, EN 14175-1 applies. For safety and performance requirements of fume cupboards, EN 14175-2 applies. For on-site test methods of fume cupboards, EN 14175-4 applies. For the type testing and on-site testing of variable air volume (VAV) fume cupboards, EN 14175-6 applies in addition to this standard. For fume cupboards for high heat and acidic load, EN 14175-7 applies.
For the testing of recirculation filtration fume cupboards, EN 17242:-  applies.
For the testing of microbiological safety cabinets, EN 12469 applies.

Abzüge - Teil 3: Baumusterprüfverfahren

Dieses Dokument legt Baumusterprüfverfahren zur Bewertung der Sicherheit und des Leistungsvermögens von an Abluftanlagen angeschlossenen Abzügen fest. Die entsprechenden Anforderungen sind in EN 14175 2 festgelegt.
Für Begriffe gilt EN 14175-1. Für Sicherheits  und Leistungsanforderungen an Abzüge gilt EN 14175-2. Für Vor-Ort-Prüfverfahren von Abzügen gilt EN 14175-4. Für die Baumusterprüfung und die Vor-Ort-Prüfung von volumenstromgeregelten Abzügen (VAV) gilt EN 14175-6 zusätzlich zu dieser Norm. Für Abzüge für hohe thermische Lasten und Säurelasten gilt EN 14175-7.
Für die Prüfung von Absaugboxen mit Luftrückführung gilt EN 17242:- .
Für die Prüfung von mikrobiologischen Sicherheitswerkbänken gilt EN 12469.

Sorbonnes - Partie 3 : Méthodes d'essai de type

Le présent document spécifie les méthodes d'essai de type pour l'évaluation de la sécurité et des performances des sorbonnes raccordées à un système d'évacuation d'air. Les prescriptions pertinentes sont spécifiées dans l’EN 14175-2.
Pour les termes et leurs définitions, l'EN 14175 1 s'applique. Pour les prescriptionsrelatives à la sécurité et aux performances des sorbonnes, l'EN 14175 2 s'applique. Pour les méthodes d'essai sur site des sorbonnes, l'EN 14175 4 s'applique. Pour les essais de type et les essais sur site des sorbonnes à débit d'air variable, l'EN 14175 6 s'applique en complément de la présente norme. Pour les sorbonnes à haute résistance à la chaleur et aux acides l'EN 14175-7 s'applique.
Pour les essais des sorbonnes à recirculation l’EN 17242:—  ) s'applique.
Pour les essais des postes de sécurité microbiologique, l'EN 12469 s'applique.

Digestoriji - 3. del: Metode preskusa tipa

Ta dokument določa metode preskusa tipa za oceno varnostni in zmogljivosti digestorijev, priključenih na odzračevalne sisteme. Zadevne zahteve so navedene v standardu EN 14175-2. Za izraze in definicije se uporablja standard EN 14175-1. Za zahteve glede varnosti in zmogljivosti digestorijev se uporablja standard EN 14175-2. Za preskusne metode digestorijev na kraju samem se uporablja standard EN 14175-4. Za preskušanje tipov in preskušanje digestorijev s spremenljivim volumnom zraka (VAV) na kraju samem se poleg tega standarda uporablja standard EN 14175-6. Za digestorije za visoke temperature in odvod kislin se uporablja standard EN 14175-7.
Za preskušanje digestorijev za recirkulacijsko filtriranje se uporablja standard EN 17242-1.
Za preskušanje mikrobiološko varnih prostorov se uporablja standard EN 12469.

This document (EN 14175-3:2019) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 332
“Laboratory equipment”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2019, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2019.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 14175-3:2003.
In comparison with the previous edition, the following technical modification have been made:
— introduction was deleted;
— scope clarified and referene to EN 14175-4 and EN 14175-6 was added;
— inclusion of new terms 3.4 and 3.5 with defintions;
— information testing on walk-in fume cupboards clarified;
— limitation of usage of SF as trace gas according to national legislation;
— revision of data analysis and result in 5.3.6 and 5.4.5;
— inclusion of Annex B “A-deviations”.
