This European prestandard recommends practices to be followed in the applicationand installation of the thermoplastics pipes and associated fittings. These fall within the scope of prEN 806-1:1995 and prEN 12318, prEN 12319, prEN 12202 and prEN 12371 (hot and cold water) to be used for hot and/or cold water distribution intended for human consumption inside buildings. This document can also be used for heating installations if applicable, except for under floor heating.

Die Europäische Vornorm enthält Empfehlungen für die Installation von thermoplastischen Rohren und zugehörigen Verbindungsstücken. Diese Rohr- leistungssysteme fallen in den Anwendungsbereich der prEN 806-1:1995, sowie der prEN 12202, prEN 12318, prEN 12319 und prEN 12731. Sie werden für Warm- und Kaltwasserleitungen innerhalb von Gebäuden für den Transport von Wasser, das für den menschlichen Gebrauch bestimmt ist eingesetzt. Falls zutreffend kann diese Norm ebenfalls für Heizungsinstallationen, ausgenommen Fußbodenheizungen, angewendet werden.

Cette prénorme Européenne recommande les pratiques à suivre pour la mise en oeuvre et l'installation de tubes en thermoplastiques et des raccords associés. Ceux-ci font l'objet des Normes Européennes prEN 806-1:1995 et prEN 12318, prEN 12319, prEN 12202 et prEN 12731 (eau chaude et froide) à utiliser pour la distribution d'eau chaude et/ou d'eau froide destinées à la consommation humaine à l'intérieur des structures des bâtiments. Ce document peut aussi être utilisé pour les installations du chauffage par le sol.
