This European standard describes and specifies needled floor coverings in sheet form including use classification according to wear and appearance retention. These floor coverings are intended to be bonded to the substrate. This standard is also applicable to tiles; the additional requirements for which are given in annex A. This standard is not applicable to needled pile floor coverings.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen an die Einstufung von Nadelvlies-Bodenbelägen als Rollenware fest und beschreibt deren Gebrauchseinstufung unter Berücksichtigung von Verschleiß und Aussehenserhalt. Diese Bodenbeläge sind zum ganzflächigen Kleben auf dem Unterboden vorgesehen. Diese Norm ist auch auf Fliesen anwendbar; die zusätzlichen Anforderungen an Fliesen sind in Anhang A enthalten. Diese Norm gilt nicht für Polvliesbeläge.

Cette norme est aussi applicable aux dalles; leurs exigences supplémentaires sont données dans l'annexe A. La présente norme ne s'applique pas aux moquettes aiguilletées.
