This standard specifies the characteristics of releasable plugs with shielding rings, type 2, shell size 25 equipped with male contacts, in the family of circular, electrical connectors, with triple start threaded coupling.
It applies to model in Table 2.

These connectors are derived from and interchangeable with model W in specification MIL-DTL 38999/31.

Diese Norm legt die Eigenschaften von Abreißsteckverbindern mit Schirmringen (Massefingerringen), Typ 2, Gehäusegröße 25, ausgestattet mit Stiftkontakten, in der Familie der elektrischen Rundsteckverbinder mit dreigängiger Gewinde-Schnellkupplung fest.
Sie gilt für die in Tabelle 2 angegebene Bauform.
Hinsichtlich der festen Steckverbinder und Schutzkappen siehe EN 3645 003, EN 3645 004, EN 3645 005, EN 3645 007, EN 3645 009 und EN 3645 010.
Hinsichtlich der für diesen freien Steckverbinder verwendbaren Kontakte, Blindstopfen und rückseitigen Zubehörteile siehe EN 3645 002.
Diese Steckverbinder wurden von der Bauform W in der Spezifikation MIL DTL 38999/31 abgeleitet und sind mit dieser austauschbar.
