This document specifies the critical dimensions of valve cups suitable for clinching into 25,4 mm aperture metal aerosol containers.
This document is applicable to aperture metal aerosol containers which are used with the metal aerosol containers in accordance with EN 14847 and EN 15006.
This European Standard does not specify dimples on aperture metal aerosol containers.
NOTE To provide satisfactory filling in production, dimples are no longer considered essential but might still be used. Their presence could cause damage of the 25,4 mm aperture and their presence on lacquered cups can give rise to coating defects at the dimple feature. Thus, in the interest of simplicity and reduction of difficulties, dimples are excluded from this standard.

Es besteht die Gefahr, dass sie die 25,4 mm weite Öffnung beschädigen und dass bei lackierten Ventilträgern an den Nocken Lackbeschädigungen auftreten. Im Interesse einer Vereinfachung und Verminderung von Schwierigkeiten dieser Art sind Nocken in dieser Norm nicht erfasst.

La présente Norme européenne est applicable aux récipients métalliques pour aérosols avec ouverture conformes aux normes EN 14847 et EN 15006.
La présente Norme européenne ne traite pas des ergots sur les récipients métalliques pour aérosols avec ouverture
NOTE Les ergots sur les coupelles de valve ne sont plus considérés comme étant essentiels pour assurer un remplissage satisfaisant, mais pourraient toujours être utilisés. Ils pourraient endommager l’ouverture de 25,4 mm et leur présence sur les coupelles vernies peut entraîner la détérioration du vernis à l’endroit des ergots. Afin de simplifier et de réduire ces difficultés, les ergots ne sont donc pas inclus dans la présente norme.
