Welding consumables - Wire electrodes, wires, rods and deposits for gas shielded metal arc welding of high strength steels - Classification

This standard specifies requirements for classification of wire electrodes, wires, rods and weld deposits in the as-welded or stress relieved condition for gas shielded metal arc welding and gas tungsten arc welding of steels with a minimum yield strength higher than 500 N/mm2. The classification of the wire electrodes, wires and rods is based on their chemical composition. The classification of a weld deposit is based on tests of the all-weld metal in the as-welded or stress relieved condition.
