Abrasion resistance of protective clothing material - Test methods
This European Standard describes two methods on abrasion resistance of materials using the same apparatus. This standard is applicable as reference standard on abrasion for standards and specifications on protective clothing. The first method describes the determination of the abrasion resistance of protective clothing materials and the second method describes abrasion pretreatment of these materials where the test samples afterwards are used in evaluation on the remaining protective properties.

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt zwei Verfahren zur Abriebfestigkeit, bei denen dasselbe Gerät zur Anwendung kommt. Diese Norm kann als Bezugsnorm für die Abriebfestigkeit und für Anforderungen an Schutzkleidung genutzt werden. Das eine Verfahren beschreibt die Bestimmung der Abriebfestigkeit von Schutzkleidungs-Materialien, das andere Verfahren beschreibt den Abrieb als Vorbehandlung dieser Materialien, wobei die Proben danach zur Bestimmung der verbleibenden Schutzeigenschaften herangezogen werden.

Le présent prEN décrit deux méthodes concernant la résistance à l'abrasion de matériaux en utilisant le même appareillage. La présente norme est applicable comme norme de référence sur l'abrasion pour les normes et les spécifications concernant les vêtements de protection. La première méthode décrit la détermination de la résistance à l'abrasion des matériaux constitutifs des vêtements de protection et la seconde méthode décrit un prétraitement par abrasion de ces matériaux lorsque les échantillons d'essai sont ensuite utilisés pour l'évaluation des propriétés de protection restantes.
