- Water‑extractable substance limits (extraction water, µg/l): As ≤10; Cd ≤0.5; Cr ≤5; Hg ≤0.3; Ni ≤5; Pb ≤5; Sb ≤3; Se ≤3; CN ≤5.
- PAH limit (sum of listed PAHs): ≤ 0.02 µg/l.

- Sampling and analyses follow procedures referenced to EN 12902 (particle size, bulk density, carbon, ash, volatile matter, water‑extractables).
Labelling, transport, storage
- Delivery forms: bags, semi‑bulk, bulk; marking must include product name, particle size, net mass/volume, supplier and statement of conformity to EN 12907.
- Storage: can be stored indefinitely when kept under appropriate conditions.

- Conformity with EN 12907:2009 does not guarantee national acceptance; use is subject to regulation by national authorities.
