This European Standard describes a test method for the recovery of soluble bitumen from bituminous mixtures from pavements in a form suitable for further testing. The procedure is suitable for the recovery of paving grade bitumen and is also suitable for mixtures containing volatile matter such as cutback bitumen but the results may be less precise. NOTE: There is limited experience of recovery when polymer-modified bitumen is used.

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt ein Verfahren, nach dem aus Asphalt, der als Straßenbaumaterial verwendet wird, lösliches Bindemittel in einer zur weiteren Prüfung geeigneten Form zurückzuggewinnen ist. Dieses Verfahren ist für die Rückgewinnung von Straßenbaubitumen geeignet, die nach ihrer Nadelpenetration klassifiziert werden; es darf auch für Materialien angewendet werden, die flüchtige Bestandteile enthalten, z.B. für Kaltbitumen; möglicherweise verringert sich in diesem Fall die Präzision der Ergebnisse.

La présente Norme Européenne décrit un mode d'extraction de liants solubles de mélanges bitumineux sur la chaussée, sous une forme adaptée à des essais ultérieurs. Cette méthode est adaptée à l'extraction de bitumes asphaltiques routiers; elle peut également être utilisée pour des matériaux comportant des matières volatiles, tels que le bitume fluxé, les résultats risquant, toutefois, d'être moins précis.
